Vintage 100% Wool St Michael Cardigan, Brand New with Tags, Size L (bust 97cm)

A vintage St Michael pure wool cardigan in burnt orange color. The boxy, oversized fit and dropped shoulders are characteristic of 80s fashion trends. Flat, open patch pockets at the hip were a common functional detail for mid-to-late 80s St Michael cardigans.

It is brand new with original tags, which is a rare find for vintage items! 

The mannequin in these pictures is size S, so it is suitable for oversize S as well. Please see the picture for additional measurements. 

Vintage brand info: St Michael was created by Marks & Spencer (M&S) in 1928, named in honour of M&S co-founder Michael Marks. The brand started as a “quality mark”: early on it was used on certain goods (not all), but by the 1950s, virtually all items sold by M&S carried the St Michael label — clothing, home goods, even some non-textile items. In 2000, M&S decided to phase out “St Michael” from its main clothing lines. The company rebranded products simply as “Marks & Spencer,” aiming to give the brand a more modern, unified identity.
