Vintage Classic 80s Houndstooth Wool Coat, Size M to L. Made in Ireland. The coat has 2 side pockets. In perfect vintage condition.

Doréne was established in 1946 by the Vard brothers, Cecil, Leslie and Jack. Cecil also managed a furriers on 30 Grafton Street. The Vards (original name Vardovich) had emigrated from Poland via London to Ireland in the 1870s. The Doréne label operated under the company name Doreen Holdings Ltd, which evolved from their father’s small dressmaking shop in Portobello, Dublin. Doreen Holdings Ltd dissolved in 1986.
