Vintage St Michael Elbow-patch Cardigan, Size L

A vintage St Michael Marks and Spenser cardigan dating 1970s/ 1980s. It features a full-front zip, a high funnel neck, and distinctive suede patches on the shoulders and the elbows.

The label says size 16, please see the picture for further measurements. The mannequin in these pictures is size S. 

Vintage brand info: St Michael was created by Marks & Spencer (M&S) in 1928, named in honour of M&S co-founder Michael Marks. The brand started as a “quality mark”: early on it was used on certain goods (not all), but by the 1950s, virtually all items sold by M&S carried the St Michael label — clothing, home goods, even some non-textile items. In 2000, M&S decided to phase out “St Michael” from its main clothing lines.
